I am Itai Leigh, an Israeli actor, performer and creator. I am a member in two ensembles: Panim - a creative ensemble founded and directed by Atalya Zahavi-Sagi, where we create immersive interactive live performance shows in the public domain, and Carmina - a vocal ensemble conducted by Taum Carni, where we sing mostly classical-style, acapela, but we have a diverse repertoire across periods and languages. My main training under my belt is an MA Acting International course at East15 Acting School which I graduated from in 2015. Prior to that I participated in a year-long preparatory course at the Nissan Nativ Acting School in Jerusalem, and earlier to that I studied in the E. Smith High School for the Arts in Jerusalem, as a Theatre Student.

In my view, each medium in our industry entails its unique strengths and properties: Film, TV, Radio and Theatre. The visuals that one can find in films are not to be found anywhere else, the day-to-day lives on the telly are shown only there, the intensity and specificity of sound in radio can be perceived only in that format and the vitality and liveliness of the theatre, including the audience into the creation itself is a trait no other medium enjoys. Although I am interested in all of them, the latter always keeps a special place in my heart. I love the feeling of performing in front of an audience, the sense of concentrated attention that is followed by a reaction, both confirming the audience is affected and touched by the performance and informs the performance and changes it, binding it to the current moment and place.
